Hi neighbors and supporters,

Your voice is making a difference — and now the City is responding. Because of sustained community pressure, officials have agreed to meet directly with the community – 134 days after we started asking questions.

April 15 Town Hall — 6:00 PM
Good Shepherd Chapel, 543 Main Street

Representatives from RIOC, HPD, DOB, and DEC will be there.

Submit your questions in advance to Rldemolition@hpd.nyc.gov with the subject line “Steam Plant Townhall”.

This is a critical opportunity to demand answers, accountability, and transparency.

What we need:

  • An immediate stop of the unsafe demolition.
  • Clear answers about environmental and public health risks
  • Accountability for how this demolition is being conducted
  • A real role for the community in decisions about the site and the building

Please attend and bring others with you. Strong turnout sends a clear message:

We are paying attention — and we expect better.

Sign and share the petition to stop the demolition:
